A member of the CC chemokine family, MCP-2 is very similar to both MCP-1 and MCP-3. As a whole all 3 will promote chemotaxis in myeloid cell types but not neutrophil cell lines. MCP-2 is expressed in various cell lines and may be involved in the metastasis of cancer.
